I don’t know where my husband got this but it summed everything up… it’s time for a new adventure. And when followed by this…
Well, how can you resist?
So my family and my menagerie of paintings and drawings will be making a move of approximately 800 miles. I’m excited for new experiences and kicking some art into high gear.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? This just might be my crazy.
It also may be time to decide on a focus for my art. I hate the idea of being limited to a style or medium but being taken seriously is important. So, pencil?
Or paint and mixed media?
I had the opportunity to camp on Long Key last March. Nothing beats a tent on the Atlantic. Strolls along the shore introduced me to loads of hermit crabs, man-o-war, gulls, herons, pelicans, oysters, horseshoe crabs, and a canoe trip where I saw a sea turtle. I was so excited about the turtle I almost tipped and neglected to identify the species.
This is the first in my new series, “A Walk Along the Shore.” In this series I hope to share a love and fascination with everything ocean. Included will be graphite drawings and mixed media paintings. I draw from my 35 year love affair with marine life and countless visits to beaches throughout Florida.
Walk with me, won’t you?
peace and love,
